How Angelina Jolie, Daughter Shiloh Celebrated Birthday While Brad Pitt Enjoys Italy

Angelina Jolie made sure her daughter Shiloh had a blast on her 13th birthday by surprising her with a fun activity.

To mark her and estranged husband Brad Pitt's eldest biological child's birthday, Jolie reportedly brought Shiloh to an interactive escape room in Los Angeles, Just Jared reported. Sources told the outlet that the mother-daughter duo had a blast at LA escape room The Basement.

Located in Sylmar, California, The Basement is unique among other escape rooms as it is the only one that features live actors in LA. The fun activity usually attracts fans of "interactive theater," and it boasts four different rooms: The Basement, The Study, The Elevator Shaft and The Courtyard.

The sources did not confirm whether or not Jolie and her daughter also tried out the other escape rooms. However, the website for The Basement stated that only people 13 years old and above can enter the room.

It is uncertain if Jolie and Shiloh were joined by the latter's five siblings, Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 10.

But while there is no confirmation that the entire Jolie-Pitt brood went to the escape room together, the six siblings are often treated to fun activities by their mom. A source told Us Weekly last month that the "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil" is “always coming up with fun things to do" with her children.

The insider went on to say that Jolie's six children "are her life" and that “every day is a new adventure" for them.

Jolie reportedly loves letting her children try new things often as these could teach them important life lessons. “[Jolie] really likes the life lessons and new ideas that come from trying all different things,” the insider dished. “The sky’s the limit for her.”

Aside from enjoying group activities such as escape rooms, Jolie also brings her brood to red carpet events. Back in March, the actress made an appearance at the premiere of Disney's "Dumbo" at El Capitan Theatre in LA.

For the event, she brought along her four youngest kids, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne. While Jolie dazzled in a white backless gown, her children looked adorable in formal outfits in black and blue.

While Jolie spends time with her kids, Pitt was recently spotted in Italy with a pal after making an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival for his film "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood." Photos from the sighting showed Pitt taking a stroll along Venice with his friend Thomas Houseago, the latter's partner Muna El Fituri, a British artist and another pal.
