How Do You Know Netflix's 'Unbelievable' Cast? A Look Inside
"Unbelievable," the upcoming Netflix crime series about an 18-year-old woman who reports a rape, features an impressive cast. Ranging from movie stars to TV actors, where have you seen them before? Here's what you need to know.
Kaitlyn Dever, who plays Marie Adler, has been seen in projects like Olivia Wilde's movie "Booksmart," the acclaimed movie "Short Term 12" and on the ABC sitcom "Last Man Standing," where she played Eve Baxter. Additionally, she also served as a voice actor for the video game "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," where she occupied the role of Cassie. As for the storyline that will revolve around her character in "Unbelievable," the people surrounding the 18-year-old will begin to doubt her story of assault as time goes on.
Elizabeth Marvel is set to take on the role of one of Marie's foster mothers, Judith, in the upcoming Netflix series, but has certainly portrayed other characters in the past. She played President Elizabeth Keane on "Homeland" and Deb Anderson in 2019's "All the Little Things We Kill."
Merritt Wever also stars and will be taking on the role of Karen Duvall. Viewers of the Netflix series may recognize her from 2018's "Welcome to Marwen" and the Fox's "New Girl." In 2018, Wever was rewarded for her talents when she won a Primetime Emmy Award for outstanding supporting actress in a limited series or movie for playing Mary Agnes McNue in "Godless."
Toni Collette also stars and will take on the role of Grace Rasmussen. Previously, she had starred in 2018's "Hereditary" and 2006's "Little Miss Sunshine," both of which have acquired followings. As for the new project, Collette, along with Wever, will both be playing detectives in the new Netflix series who are investigating cases that prove to be very similar in nature, thus leading them to contemplate the existence of a serial rapist.
Omar Maskati, Blake Ellis and Scott Lawrence are also set to star. Omar starred alongside Marvel in "All the Little Things We Kill" where he played Amin Malafi, while Blake Ellis has been seen on shows such as "The Young and the Restless." As for Scott, who plays Special Agent Billy Taggart in "Unbelievable," he also showcased his talents on "Star Wars Resistance" and in the 2019 movie "Stuber," where he played Dr. Branch.
"Unbelievable" will begin streaming on Netflix on Sept. 13.
