How Does ‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’ End? Finale Predictions And Theories
The “American Horror Story: Apocalypse” finale is quickly approaching, and viewers are eager to find out how it will all end. While series creator Ryan Murphy manages to deliver shocking conclusions each season, fans often share predictions and theories about what will happen in the final episode.
“American Horror Story” Season 8 explores the end of the world and the events that led up to it. Several theories suggest a young witch named Mallory (Billie Lourd) is the key to saving the world. However, fans can’t agree about how she will do it.
While there are theories she will be able to bring the world back to life once it is destroyed, others believe the way she healed a wounded deer was a clue to how she would prevent the chaotic event from unfolding.
In episode 6, Mallory reversed time for a hurt deer and turned it back into a fawn. Some fans think she will use the same method to turn the antichrist, Michael (Cody Fern), back into a child.
Although Michael committed his first murder at the age of 3, he was unaware that he was a product of evil and destined to cause the apocalypse. If Mallory turns back the clock on his life, the witches could try to teach the youngster to be good or simply destroy him before he gains his full powers.
There’s also a chance fans could be left with a cliffhanger ending. When “AHS” wraps up a season, all questions are typically answered and viewers are left feeling satisfied. However, with only two episodes left and a ton of unanswered questions, one theory suggests that Season 9 could be a continuation to “American Horror Story: Apocalypse.”
While a follow up would conflict with the idea of an anthology series, fans pointed out that FX renewed “AHS” for seasons 8 and 9 at the same time. Since the two seasons were picked up together, fans took it as a sign that Murphy plans to explore another chapter of “AHS: Apocalypse.”
When the season first aired, teens Timothy (Kyle Allen) and Emily (Ashley Santos) were specifically saved so they could be apart of the post-apocalyptic world. Fans predict Season 9 will explore why their DNA was considered unique, but the two have yet to be resurrected after Ms. Meade (Kathy Bates) and Venable (Sarah Paulson) poisoned the residents of Outpost 3.
Even though “AHS” Season 8 has consisted of several crossovers including “Coven” and “Murder House,” TV Guide argued that Murphy wouldn’t break from the traditional anthology series format. The site predicted Murphy would somehow wrap up “Apocalypse” and create a fresh story for “AHS” Season 9.
No matter how Murphy chooses to conclude this season, is it is widely suspected that the finale will affect the entire “American Horror Story” universe. Fans will just have to wait to see how it all ends when the “American Horror Story: Apocalypse” finale airs Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 10 p.m. EST on FX.
