‘How To Get Away With Murder’ Season 6 Spoilers: Episode 1 Synopsis

When “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 6 premieres, viewers will see how Annalise and the rest of the group are dealing with Laurel’s disappearance.

In the “HTGAWM” Season 5 finale viewers watched Laurel (Karla Souza) and Christopher disappear under mysterious circumstances. Meanwhile, Emmett (Timothy Hutton) unknowingly consuming a poisoned drink.

When “Say Goodbye” airs, Annalise (Viola Davis) will be desperate for answers and won’t stop until she buries everything that threatens to disrupt her life. “Annalise struggles with the toll that Laurel and Christopher’s disappearance has taken on everyone,” the “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 6, episode 1 synopsis teases.

In the ABC promo video, Annalise tells the group that they can’t continue living with lies, fears, guilt and shame. For years, Annalise and her students have escaped murder charges, but now that one of their own has disappeared, they are concerned about what it means for their future.

“The remaining Keating 4, Oliver (Conrad Ricamora), Frank (Charlie Weber) and Bonnie (Liza Weil) disagree on the possible reasons behind Laurel’s disappearance,” the “Say Goodbye” synopsis says.

The group was already worried that the FBI would convict them on criminal charges, but now that Laurel has disappeared, they will let their imaginations run wild as they try to figure out why she suddenly vanished.

“Tegan (Amirah Vann) handles the aftermath of Emmett’s apparent poisoning,” the “HTGAWM” Season 6 premiere synopsis teases. In the Season 5 finale, Tegan was worried about telling Emmett that the governor named him as a person of interest in Nate Sr. (Glynn Turman) and Miller’s (John Hensley) deaths.

However, when the new season premieres she will be forced to investigate whether he was intentionally poisoned or if he took his own life. Will the events surrounding Emmett’s demise create even more problems for Annalise and the Keating 4?

“Gabriel (Rome Flynn) wants to take his budding relationship with Michaela (Aja Naomi) to the next level,” the synopsis for “Say Goodbye” teases. Despite Laurel’s disappearance, Gabriel will try to find time for some romance.

After getting off to a bad start, Gabriel is hoping he can get to know Michaela on a deeper level, but will she be too concerned about Laurel to notice his romantic efforts?
