“How I Met Your Mother” is on the last leg of its nine-season run. But somehow, the CBS showrunners (Craig Thomas and Carter Bays) aren’t even close to running out of breath to tell their long-winded story of how Ted Mosby met his wife. Since 2005, Josh Radnor’s character has been chatting off the ear of his TV children — and fans just want to know once and for all: How did he met their mother?

Well, we’re getting closer and closer to finding out the end of his story with every episode being aired. Not to mention, fans of the show are even further on the edge of their seats since meeting “The Mother,” played by Cristin Milioti, at the end of season 8. With that said, we’re finally ready for Ted to get his happily ever after — and for his rambling tale to finish!

In addition to finding out how Ted and “The Mother” meet, we’re also pretty curious as to what “The Mother’s” real name is. Seriously, will we ever know? Well, Milioti sat down with Entertainment Weekly to discuss the mystery behind her character. And as it turns out, she too has been left in the dark by Thomas and Bays. But why? “I don’t know if it’s because they think I’m a terrible liar, but no, I have not been told that. It’s very much on lockdown,” she admitted.

Not only are the creators being highly protective of “The Mother’s” name, but they are also being extremely careful with the series' finale script. You know, the one that Thomas tweeted a picture of Tuesday. “There’s been discussion,” Milioti said, regarding the importance of keeping spoilers under wraps. “It’s CIA-level lockdown. Our scripts are watermarked, and it feels really cool.”

Although the actress was thrifty in sharing details, she did ease the minds of fans when she hinted we’d all be pretty content with “How I Met Your Mother” was going to end. “I know this sounds like an executive from CBS is passing me a piece of paper, but [the finale] will not disappoint,” she confessed. “It’s been in great hands for nine years, and they love their fans. I think everyone’s going to really love the finale.”

We hope so.
