How Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck’s Marriage Was Affected By This Shocking Incident

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were married for 10 years before they decided to get a divorce. During a previous interview, the actress revealed one of the reasons for their split.

Garner said that she has tried her best to keep her relationship with Affleck private but the constant public scrutiny has impacted their marriage greatly. She also said that remembering how they were scrutinized in public makes her cry.

“Looking back on that, I really feel the stress of it. I really, I could cry talking about it,” she told CBS “This Morning.”

The actress’ interview took place last year, which means that she and Affleck have already been separated for three years at that time. But even though they are no longer together, Garner said that people still speculate about what really happened to their marriage.

“What I think I’ve learned is that the scrutiny in your private life puts pressure to make something happen. You feel a pressure to hurry up and get married ‘cause you think that’ll end the ‘are they engaged, are they not?’ talk… And that’s true in the reverse, as well… If there is any inkling of trouble or if the tabloids decide there’s trouble, it can create trouble,” she said.

Garner went on to say that the hardest thing about public scrutiny is not necessarily the public but the fact that it is something that she had to go through.

The “Alias” star is not only particular about her marriage to Affleck and her current relationship; she also makes it a point to keep her children’s lives as private as possible.

Even though they are regularly seen in public with their parents, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel are rarely featured on their parents’ Instagram accounts. Garner and Affleck typically share their children’s artwork and other things but not their faces.

The last time that they were seen in public was last week when they went to church service as a family.
