  • The Kardashian-Jenner clan's upcoming reality show will be "more chic" than "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," a report says
  • Their new Hulu series will focus on Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Kris Jenner
  • The family has started filming the new show

The Kardashian-Jenner clan will return to the small screen sooner than expected through their upcoming Hulu series.

Last year, after announcing that "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" would be returning for one last season, Kris Jenner teased that they have a new show coming up on Hulu. Now, an insider has exclusively revealed to Us Weekly how the family's upcoming reality series is different from "KUWTK."

"The new show is going to have the entire family be part of it, but Kim [Kardashian], Khloé [Kardashian], Kourtney [Kardashian] and Kris [Jenner] are going to be on it the most," the unnamed source told the outlet. "There’s a strong focus on Kim’s journey as a lawyer, which fans got a taste of in the last season [of 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians']. They’re making [the new show] somewhat political."

The Kardashian-Jenner clan liked "having more control" during filming, the tipster added. According to the source, the upcoming show will "air sooner than months out."

"It’s an entirely different concept. It’s more chic. They recently started filming. They’re going to try to keep filming on the down-low as much as possible to keep it a surprise for fans," the source continued.

Last month, Kim teased that her family has returned to filming their daily lives by sharing a photo on her Instagram Story of a microphone pack on her lap. "Day 1," she wrote in the caption.

The last episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" aired in June. It was quite emotional, with the family exchanging gifts like it was Christmas. They also ended the finale with a time capsule. Kourtney put in an old Smooch T-shirt, while Scott Disick chose to put a T-shirt that said, "I'm Staying Home."

Kim placed her first-ever fragrance, and Kourtney added the keys to their old store Dash. Kendall Jenner chose a painting of their family's old house to add to the collection, while Kylie Jenner put her first three lip kits. Kris placed her official "momager" license.

Kim announced in September 2020 that their E! reality series was wrapping up after 20 seasons.

"It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians,'" Kim wrote on Instagram.

The Skims founder continued, "After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years — through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children. We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way."

Kris said that social media was partly to blame for the series ending. She noted that when they started, there was no Instagram, Snapchat or other social media platforms. But the world has changed since then, and their fans can now see them on all platforms.

"Now there are so many, the viewer doesn't have to wait three or four months to see an episode. We can give them all of the information anyone would ever want to know in real-time," she told WWD's Beauty Inc in October last year.
