How Kate Middleton Gets Royal Staffers To Like Her
Meghan Markle may get a lot of criticism for her alleged poor relationships with some of her staff members, but Kate Middleton allegedly has a great rapport with her employees. According to a report, there’s a good reason for the Duchess of Cambridge’s freat relationships with her staff, however.
According to Showbiz Cheat Sheet, Middleton also got off to a bad start with some of her staff because like her sister-in-law, she too was very hands-on in her home, and her behavior allegedly led to her head housekeeper and head gardener to also quit their jobs. However, since then, she has turned things around by making sure her staff knows how important they are to her.
“What she does do is that members of her staff, if you’ve got an idea or a suggestion, she takes it up,” royal expert Neil Sean said. “She thanks you...Kate is very good at making you feel very comfortable. More importantly, I think that’s why her staff have stuck around for a long time.”
Other staffers have also revealed over the years that not only does Middleton show fierce loyalty to her staff and stand up for them even when they make mistakes, but that she also makes sure her junior members of staff are treated just as well as more senior ones—and even takes the time out to learn their names, something that isn’t necessarily always done.
“She wants everybody’s voice to be heard,” a source said. “That means she takes the time to listen to ideas from the most junior members of her team. Afterwards they’ll say ‘wow, she knows my name and she asked me what I thought.’”
However, despite her good relationship with staffers overall, it doesn’t mean she doesn’t sometimes have to make a tough decision when it comes to their jobs.
Reports claim that she has abruptly fired her loyal aide, Sophie Agnew, who was “stunned” by her dismissal. Page Six reports that it is another casualty of the deepening split between the Cambridge and Sussex households.
