How Kate Middleton Maintains Slim Frame After Delivering Prince George, Charlotte, Louis
Kate Middleton has successfully maintained her slim frame after giving birth to three royal babies.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge married in April 2011. The couple is now proud parents of three, but Middleton has maintained her model-like figure over the years. But she apparently puts in a lot of work in order to keep her body fit and toned.
According to Paul Withers, a journalist for Express, Middleton is “very fitness-oriented“ and enjoys a number of activities, including running and cycling. These activities have helped the duchess maintain her weight.
Catherine Ostler of Daily Mail also said that Middleton’s toned figure is due to the competitive nature she shares with her family. If one looks at her sister, Pippa, and mom, Carole, all of the women in their families are fit.
“Kate is an exercise junkie. Pippa and Kate take their toned physiques extremely seriously. And mother Carole, in her 60s, is in extremely good shape,” a source told Ostler.
According to the publication, Middleton’s secret to her slim frame is “the plank,” a hardcore exercise that requires no equipment. There are three elements involved in the regimen: the basic plank, side plank and prone sky dive. Middleton can hold all of the said positions for 45 seconds or longer and repeat it at least 10 times each.
The plank tightens the muscles. The basic plank strengthens the back, shoulders and abdomen. The side plank requires balancing while one holds the body straight with feet together and one arm flexed under the shoulder. The prone sky dive plank, on the other hand, is “slightly less excruciating.”
Middleton is also reportedly enamored with CrossFit. The exercise includes a ruthless combination of resistance training, weights, running and squats.
During a visit to India in 2016, Middleton told Professor Bulbul Dhar-James how she lost her post-baby weight. The duchess revealed that she runs after her kids.
Middleton’s fitness expert Louise Parker shared the royal mom’s secret to losing post-baby weight as well. The trainer said that it’s more about one’s dedication. She advised that exercise is important, but there’s no need for a long high-intensity workout.
She added that “anything too aggressive can really exacerbate any anxiety.” New moms need to be challenged, but it should be built up slowly, according to the expert.
However, some have found Middleton to be too skinny. One netizen said that the Duchess of Cambridge is “painfully thin,” adding that she’s “aging overnight.”
Insiders claimed that Middleton stopped eating due to her anxiety over sister-in-law Meghan Markle’s “disruptive demands.“ However, the two duchesses look friendly whenever they are together.
