How Lady Gaga Is Coping With Christian Carino Breakup Amid Oscars Win

Lady Gaga reportedly hasn't had time to process her split from ex-fiance Christian Carino.

A source recently told Us Weekly how Gaga, who won best original song for "Shallow" from "A Star Is Born" at the 2019 Oscars on Sunday, that the singer-actress has been too busy to really sit down and reflect on her breakup from Carino. Gaga is reportedly focusing on her back-to-back projects right now and is trying not to get sidetracked.

“Gaga has been in such a focus on her career right now and has not even had time to address what has been happening between her and Christian, emotionally,” the insider said. “She has been telling those around her, ‘Let’s stay focused.’”

But despite their breakup, there doesn't seem to be any bad blood between the exes. A source previously told Us Weekly that Gaga had a run-in with Carino, whom she got engaged with last year, at CAA's pre-Academy Awards bash last week. The ex-couple reportedly even chatted with each other a bit.

“Christian Carino walked into the party … said hi to Gaga at one point,” the insider said. “But it was brief and then he went to another room.”

However, the source claimed that Gaga mostly spent the night hanging out with "A Star Is Born" co-star Bradley Cooper. The two reportedly talked "in a corner together all night" and "looked so close." The insider noted that Gaga and Cooper "almost seem like a couple."

Gaga and Cooper's chemistry certainly had fans and viewers of the 2019 Oscars raving when the two performed their hit song, "Shallow," together onstage at the annual awards ceremony.

Just Jared confirmed Gaga and Carino's breakup on Feb. 19. However, days before that, the "Bad Romance" singer had been spotted looking "a bit gloomy and low-energy" during her vacation in Cabo, Mexico with her pals, a source told People.

Rumors that Gaga and Carino had called off their engagement first made headlines after she was spotted without her engagement ring and her fiancé at the 2019 Grammy Awards on Feb. 10. At the time, there had been suspicions that the two may have parted ways as Carino had accompanied Gaga all throughout the awards circuit but was noticeably absent during one of the biggest music events.
