Although Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been married for over a year, the Duke of Sussex’s friends are reportedly struggling to get along with his wife. Due to Meghan’s American upbringing, she has been “clashing” with her husband’s “traditional” circle of friends.

When Meghan and Harry are photographed in public, the couple typically appears to be happy in each other’s company. However, their strong bond has reportedly forced friends to ban them from dinner parties and other social events.

According to the Express UK, a royal expert believes the couple’s refusal to separate from one another has caused tension with Harry’s pals.

“The fact that other people are frowning on this is just a demonstration of the clash between the older, more traditional circles that perhaps Harry used to move in, and bringing his American wife into those circles with his new habits,” Stefanie Jones revealed.

“It’s almost inevitable that there were going to be feathers ruffled, but I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I don’t think they’ve done anything wrong,” she added.

Although Meghan and Prince Harry have refused to abide by traditional etiquette during social gathers, Jones revealed she understands why they don’t like being separated.

“They’re clearly devoted to each other, and I think they both get a lot of strength from that partnership,” she said.

“Harry has talked for years about wanting a partner by his side, and Meghan clearly depends on Harry, because she’s moved to a new country, met new people, she has a new role.

Since Prince Harry married Meghan in 2018, there have been reports that the “Suits” alum has influenced her husband to change his lifestyle. While the Duke of Sussex has made several changes for the better, it seems his friends are not fond of his revamped personality.
