How Meghan Markle Showed Love To Father Thomas In Adorable Gesture Revisited

Meghan Markle had an adorable way of showing her love to dad Thomas Markle Sr.

Prior to Markle’s marriage to Prince Harry, she had a great relationship with his father. In fact, she was so sweet to him when she was just a kid.

Thomas was the lighting director on the hit comedy show “Married…with Children” which ran for 10 years. She wasn’t allowed to watch it due to its adult content, but she reportedly used to kiss the screen as her father’s name went by in the credits, according to royal biographer Andrew Morton.

“While she wasn’t allowed to watch the show when it aired, her mother would let her kiss the screen as her dad’s name went by in the credits at the end of the programme,” Morton wrote in his book “Meghan: A Hollywood Princess.”

Markle would sit on the floor of the studio after school and would wait for her father to finish work, so he could take her home. The former “Suits” star described that experience on Craig Ferguson’s late night show “perverse.”

“It's a very perverse place for a girl to grow up. I went to Catholic school,” Markle once said.

“I’m there in my school uniform and the guest would be former pornstar Traci Lords.”

When Markle and Prince Harry got married, only her mom, Doria Ragland, attended the royal wedding. Initially, Markle’s father was invited but in the run-up to their wedding, it was reported that Thomas received cash for staged photos.

Days before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s big day, Thomas said that he had a heart attack and wouldn’t make it to her daughter’s wedding. He added that he underwent major heart surgery and was recovering.

However, according to an insider, Markle’s dad only faked his heart surgery because he was too embarrassed to face the royal family following his scandal. The source added that Thomas had to come up with a good reason to not attend her wedding and avoid further embarrassment.

The insider added that everyone shouldn’t feel sorry for Thomas because he brought it upon himself. If Thomas were truly sick at the time, Markle would surely make an effort to visit him. At present, Markle and her father are not on speaking terms.
