How Miley Cyrus Is Spending Time With Boyfriend Cody Simpson Amid Lockdown

While most people are bored of binge watching movies while practicing social distancing at home, Miley Cyrus is keeping herself busy by finding new ways to bond with her boyfriend Cody Simpson. The “Slide Away” singer previously gave her boyfriend a haircut, and she did that again recently when she gave him a mohawk cut to match her hairstyle.

Cyrus and Simpson now have matching hairstyles, E! News reported. The singer debuted a new mullet hairstyle earlier this year in a look that was reminiscent of her dad’s hairstyle. Cyrus got an updated look after she let her mom cut her hair with virtual assistance from her stylist Sally Hershberger.

Hershberger previously said that Cyrus wanted to “go more punk” with her new hairstyle. She decided to go with a modern mullet style that is sleek and at the same time “wavy and messy.”

Cyrus described the haircut her mom gave her as “pixie mullet,” People reported. The singer initially had a different look on her mind, which her mom Tish Cyrus wasn’t able to create after the haircut.

“Miley sent me over a picture for inspiration, but this pixie mullet is completely different than the original inspiration photo,” Hershberger said.

Despite the problems in recreating the look that she wanted, Miley appears to be happy with her new hairstyle. She now has Simpson with a matching Mohawk hairstyle, and the couple made it on E! News list of top celebrity transformations of the week.

Apart from getting haircuts from her mom and giving haircuts to her boyfriend, Miley has also been using this time to engage with her fans on social media. She started a new live chat show on Instagram titled “Bright Minded,” in which she invited some of her celebrity guests to talk about social issues. She got a Webby award for the show that was presented to her by her friend Demi Lovato, and the “Slide Away” singer expressed her gratitude online.

The issue that Miley is currently focussed on is the death of George Floyd. In a recent Instagram post, the singer asked her fans to raise their voice and call for justice.
