The other six players secured by Chelsea in the underway winter window are João Félix (from Atletico Madrid), Benoît Badiashile (from Monaco), David Datro Fofana, Mykhailo Mudryk (from Shakhtar Donetsk), Andrey Santos (from Vasco de Gama) and Noni Madueke (from PSV Eindhoven), with more signings expected before deadline day.

The Stamford Bridge side has continued to be busy in the underway January window after a massive run of $310 million over the 2022 summer, where they bought Wesley Fofana, Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Marc Cucurella and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang — as well as a bunch of young players too.

It is believed that Chelsea beat the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham in the race to secure Gusto, who is an academy product of Lyon.

Chelsea have managed to clinch just one win in their last five Premier League outings and are currently struggling in 10th place in the 2022-23 league table. The Blues' next fixture is a home league match against Fulham Friday.
