How Prince George Hilariously Mirrored Prince Charles Expression At Trooping The Colour
Prince George made headlines at the Trooping the Colour years ago when he made a hilarious face while standing on the balcony of the Buckingham Palace.
It has now been revealed that the third in line to the throne may have mirrored his grandfather, Prince Charles, with the expression and gesture. Back in 1953, Prince Charles attended Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation with the Queen Mother at the Westminster Abbey.
Prince Charles was just 5 years old at that time, and he appeared to be bored with the coronation. The future King placed his hand under his chin to make the entire world know that he probably doesn’t understand whatever it is that was going on.
Several years later, Prince George mimicked the same expression while at the Trooping the Colour. He also placed his hand under his chin and gave out a disgusted or confused look to the public.
At one point, he also covered his right eye with his right hand possibly because his eye was itching. Prince George stood on a bench in front of his parents to make sure that he could witness the flypast during the Trooping the Colour.
Princess Charlotte, who was just 2 years old at that time, was carried by Kate Middleton. Prince William stood beside his wife and children after joining the parade on board a horse.
This year’s Trooping the Colour will take place on June 8. There are speculations suggesting that Prince George and Princess Charlotte will receive a promotion at the event.
In the past, the royal siblings simply appeared on the balcony of the Buckingham Palace. But this year, they might join the parade for the first time ever. Prince William first joined the Trooping the Colour parade with Princess Diana and the Queen Mother when he was 5 years old.
Prince George will soon turn 6 years old, and Princess Charlotte is already 4 years old. Prince Louis may also make his debut at the event this weekend.
