Prince Andrew’s resignation will have a huge impact on Prince William, Prince Harry, Kate Middleton, and Meghan Markle.

On the podcast “Pod Save the Queen,” royal expert Russell Myers said that since Prince Andrew has already resigned from his public duties, he will no longer be a part of official occasions with the other senior royals.

“Andrew will be banned from all of these events. So, you know, you might see William, Kate, Harry and Meghan involved in this. They will be lumbered with a lot more work, you’d imagine. He was a patron of 230-odd charities, it is an awful lot,” he said.

Meanwhile, Myers also revealed how Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will be affected by Prince Andrew’s resignation. The royal expert said that the siblings won’t be allowed to take on some of their father’s charities because they aren’t considered working royals.

“It was put to me that Andrew was potentially putting out that he would be willing to step back from his patronages and charities if the girls were allowed [them]. But to be honest, they are non-working members of the Royal Family. It definitely doesn’t fit in with how Charles and William see it,” he said.

Since Prince Charles wants a more streamlined royal family, it is unlikely that he will bring Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie into the fold. The public wouldn’t also want Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie to be given more roles after their dad’s resignation.

Last month, the Duke of York announced his resignation, saying that he's realized that his former association with Jeffrey Epstein has caused a major disruption to the royal family’s work.

Therefore, I have asked Her Majesty if I may step back from public duties for the foreseeable future, and she has given her permission. I continue to unequivocally regret my ill-judged association with Jeffrey Epstein. His suicide has left many unanswered questions, particularly for his victims, and I deeply sympathize with everyone who has been affected and wants some form of closure,” he said.
