There were different opinions as to who the Queen’s favorite grandchild is. According to some, Her Majesty’s favorite is one of Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s sons. Others were convinced that it’s Prince William while some believed that it’s actually Prince Harry.

However, according to royal biographer Ingrid Seward, the Queen’s favorites are Princess Anne’s children Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips because they were her first grandchildren. When Zara was a kid, the monarch would give her a smack around her legs when she was naughty.

On Zara’s big day, she paid tribute to her royal grandmother by choosing an ivory wedding dress designed by Stewart Parvin, who is one of the Queen’s favorite couturiers. At the big event, the Queen and Zara also posed casually for a photo, Express reported.

Queen Elizabeth II and Zara’s intimate photo during the latter’s wedding resurfaced months ago. In the snap, the Queen looks beautiful in her pink blush dress coat with a matching feathered hat while carrying her signature handbag and wearing her signature white gloves. On the other hand, the bride is stunning in her wedding dress while holding a glass of champagne.

Earlier this year, the monarch raised some eyebrows from royal watchers when she was spotted attending the christening of Zara and Mike Tindall’s second daughter, Lena, after skipping the same celebration for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s youngest son, Prince Louis, in July 2018. According to an insider, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge weren’t bothered by it and were “relaxed” about Her Majesty’s decision.

Prince William and Middleton are very close to Zara and Mike. Last May, the two families were photographed enjoying an outing together. Prince William had his goddaughter Mia Tindall on his shoulders. On the other hand, Prince George perched on Mike’s shoulder. Later that day, Prince George was seen giving his aunt Zara a high five and a hug.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s children are also very close to Mike and Zara’s kids. According to Mike, he hopes their kids’ friendship would last until they grow old.
