How The Season 25 ‘DWTS’ Teams Prepared For Semifinals Night
The final dances are quickly approaching on “Dancing With the Stars,” and the remaining Season 25 teams are hard at work to try and prove why they deserve to win the Mirrorball.
Though one team will definitely be eliminated during the Semifinals based on their scores and viewer votes from Week 8, all five couples are still hard at work on semifinals routines. The ABC show will not only require them to stun with a new dance, but also a recreation of a popular dance previously performed on the show by another couple, which will test them in ways they may not have expected.
The teams have been hard at work on these routines all week, with very little in terms of social media updates for their fans, which seems to indicate that they all know just how important these dances are. The remaining pairs after the upcoming elimination will all be in the finals, and their scores from this next phase of the competition, as well as the viewer votes, will play a very large role in determining if they can win the Mirrorball.
Here’s how the teams spent the weekend rehearsing:
Team Franney Pack
Frankie Muniz hasn’t taken to social media prior to his routines often this season, and prior to the semifinals appears to have been no exception to the rule. So far, the actor and race car driver hasn’t shared any updates on how he and Witney have been preparing for both their Salsa and their recreated Paso Doble.
Witney however, did take to her account to reflect on the time they’ve spent together in what appears to be a rehearsal photo of the two as they stretch and seem to lunge at one another. In the post, she also reminded fans to vote for them so they could make it to the last episode of the show.
Team ViVa
Victoria Arlen and Val Chmerkovskiy had fairly disappointing scores in Week 8, only receiving a total of 48 judge’s points on their two routines. However, they appear ready to fight back and prove they deserve their spot in the finals, as Victoria took to Instagram to share a few small peeks at their Contemporary routine, one she promises in her caption has been worth the nearly full season wait.
Val, meanwhile, seemed to share a look at a potential costume for their recreated Charleston, sharing an image of himself in a red suit with blue tie and vest, while holding a black fedora in front of him. He only shared that the image likely had something to do with the show by captioning it with the ‘DWTS’ hashtag.
Team Hot Property
It’s officially time to do whatever it takes for Drew Scott and Emma Slater, who are at the bottom of the judge’s leaderboard. And it appears the two are truly hard at work making sure that they do make it to the finals, with late rehearsals until 1 a.m.
Still, even though they are working hard, it appears the two plan to still bring some fun to their overall routine, as Drew took to Instagram to share a look at himself in full Scottish garb, including a kilt, and playing the bagpipes, with a promise to his fans that they would know what that meant when they saw his routine with Emma during the semifinals.
Fans of Team STARK didn’t get any updates from Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas, which means the two are likely hard at work trying to officially grab the top spot from Team Fish Upon A Star, who also didn’t share any updates on social media. However, Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold’s lack of posts may be due to her suffering from a knee injury over the weekend, which could keep her from performing during the live show.
“Dancing With the Stars” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
