If you didn’t abstain from work or don red for this year’s A Day Without a Woman protest for International Women’s Day, there are still ways to show support and help females around the world.

The holiday is devoted to advancing quality between sexes and celebrating the achievements of women, so what better way to honor their contributions to society than by empowering other women? These five women-oriented charities and nonprofits accept donations, volunteers and other forms of support.

Check them out Wednesday (or any day, really):

National Partnership for Women and Families. The National Partnership for Women and Families is an organization aimed at promoting fairness in the workplace, quality health care and other policies that assist women and families. The group accepts monetary donations in a variety of ways, including through a one-time donation or via a monthly membership.

Girls Not Brides. Composed of more than 700 civil society organizations from 90 countries, Girls Not Brides is committed to ending child marriage and empowering girls across the world. The group accepts donations to current projects it is running, including one that supports survivors of sexual violence in Kenya and another that trains women to be mentors in Sierra Leone. Information is available through the website regarding how to advocate for a national strategy on child marriage as well.

V-Day. V-Day is a global activist movement fighting to end violence against women and girls throughout the world. The group organizes and promotes awareness events and benefit performances to support the cause. Ninety cents out of every dollar donated to V-Day goes straight to ending violence and the group allows donations to very specific campaigns in order for supporters to better grasp where the money is going. Current campaigns include supporting two safe houses the group established in Kenya.

Women’s Funding Network. More than 100 women’s funds and foundations make up the Women’s Funding Network, making it the largest philanthropic network in the world exclusively focused on women. The organization aims to address social issues from poverty to security through gender equity. It accepts donations through individual gifts and corporate sponsorships.

Alliance for International Women’s Rights. AIWR is aimed at supporting women leaders and creating future women leaders in developing countries. The group is currently focused on Afghanistan. AIWR accepts donations and is seeking volunteers through two initiatives: its mentor program and its English program. Applications for both are available on the organization’s website.
