HP Unveils Chromebook Elite c1030 With Built-In Privacy Screen

HP took the covers off two new Chromebooks including one that's targeted at business people. The new Chromebook comes with a built-in privacy screen, a feature that has never been integrated into the device before. Crafted primarily for students, Chromebooks are touted as a mid or low-end device that bears affordable price tags.

Recently, Chrome OS has forayed into the workspace ecosystem by introducing considerably high-end devices. HP has set a distinct benchmark with the HP Elite c1030 Chromebook Enterprise, which not only sports an appealing outward appearance but also boasts equally-impressive hardware.

Its design nails every minor detail. In terms of hardware, the device is powered by 10th gen Intel U-series processors, up to a Core i7, and runs with up to 16GB of RAM. There are additional features that dramatically boost the performance including the ePCI-based SSD storage, instead of the eMMC drives installed in older versions of Chromebook.

The enticing display of the HP Elite c1030 has a 3:2 ratio which is the greatest ratio of screen-to-body incorporated in any Chromebook. This device can effortlessly be transformed into a tablet and it supports USI stylus. This device also features the new "Sure View" display technology which enables users to allow privacy protectors to hide the content of your screen.

Slated to hit the store shelves in August, the top-notch device is housed in a sturdy and sleek frame made of high-quality aluminum. HP is also set to launch another Chromebook model called Pro c640. This model is designed for a substantial workhorse for professional users, with the convertible feature has been replaced by clamshell. The Pro c640 Chromebook is likely to be made available to the public sometime in June.
