HTC One M10 Rumors: 7 New Features Revealed
When HTC recently released its first official teaser of the HTC One M10, it hinted that more teasers would be out soon. The Taiwanese company has now revealed more details about its upcoming flagship through new teasers.
The HTC One M10 is expected to be released next month. Here are some rumored features of the device:
Newer Design
HTC One M10 (codenamed as HTC Perfume) is expected to arrive with a new design that will help it distinguish from its predecessor models like HTC One M9 and HTC One M8.
It will arrive with a chamfered design along with antenna bands on its rear panel. It is expected to appear like the HTC One A9 midrange smartphone. However, it will have a premium appeal.
More Storage Options
According to @LlabTooFeR who holds a good track record of revealing details of upcoming HTC devices, the HTC Perfume will have three inbuilt storage variants — 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. The 16 GB model is expected to be aimed at emerging markets. The other markets will receive 32 GB and 64 GB models.
Chipset Variants
The HTC One M10 is also expected to be available in two chipset variants. Major markets are expected to receive the Snapdragon 820 chipset variant whereas others will likely receive a chipset from MediaTek.
Camera Experience
Chialin Change, the CFO of HTC, in an interview with CNET, said that the HTC One M10 will deliver a “very, very compelling camera experience.” The smartphone is rumored to arrive with 12-megapixel UltraPixel technology-driven main camera that will feature laser autofocus and OIS. It will be capable of taking good quality photos in dim surroundings.
Fingerprint Sensor
Last year, HTC One M9+ was launched with a fingerprint sensor. The HTC One M10 is heavily pegged to include the feature in its physical Home button.
Quad HD Display
The HTC One M9, One M8 and One M7 have all featured 5.1-inch full HD screens. Rumors are rife that the upcoming HTC One M10 will have a 5.1-inch or 5.2-inch screen with support for Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
Windows 10 Mobile Edition
In 2014, a Windows Phone edition of HTC One M8 was released. Since then, the company has only focused on launching Android devices. Microsoft's job listings recently hinted that HTC may be working on Windows 10 Mobile powered devices. Hence, early speculations suggest that an HTC One M10 Windows 10 Mobile edition will be also announced soon.
