‘HTGAWM’ Season 4 New Promo Released: Annalise Gets Busy With Mystery Man
ABC just released a new “Thank God It’s Thursday” trailer featuring exciting new scenes from “How to Get Away With Murder,” “Scandal,” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” with “Look What You Made Me Do” by Taylor Swift blaring in the background.
In the trailer, Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) can be seen breaking down in tears, but later cleaning up and looking just as formidable as ever. She then gets busy under the sheets with a mystery man, then meets up with a character played by Jimmy Smits. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Smit’s character will be a prominent figure in the life of Annalise and will play an integral role in the fourth season mystery. But apart from that tidbit, everything else about his role is being kept under wraps.
The title of the first Season 4 episode is “I’m Going Away.” The synopsis, which was shared by Headline Planet, reads: “In the wake of Wes’ (Alfred Enoch) tragic death, Annalise returns to her family home to pick up the pieces of her shattered life, and realizes that, in order to rebuild, she must make a tough and shocking decision. Meanwhile, ‘the Keating 4’ all face an uncertain future while Laurel (Karla Souza) becomes obsessed with finding out what actually happened to Wes the night he died.”
Executive producer Pete Nowalk earlier told TV Line that fans will also get answers regarding why Laurel’s dad had Wes killed when the show returns. “This is the perfect way to reveal more of where [Laurel] comes from,” Nowalk said. “It will make a lot of sense why he ordered Wes to be killed. It’s fun to dig more into what Laurel’s backstory is and create a mystery around her family.”
Every season starts with a mystery, but Season 4 has a twist because fans won’t be asking who, but where. “Our other questions have been, who shot Annalise? Who killed Sam? Who killed Wes?” Nowalk teased. “This time, the question is a where.”
“How to Get Away with Murder” will return for Season 4 on Sept. 28 at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
