Huawei P9’s 24K Gold, Rose Gold And Platinum Variants Go On Sale
Luxury brand Goldgenie, known for treating flagship smartphones from various OEMs with Gold, Rose Gold and Platinum, is back with a newly customized device.
This time around, Huawei P9, released in April, has been treated with 24K Gold, Rose Gold and Platinum. The official website of Goldgenie has listed the price of the customized P9 as 1,500 pounds (about $2,162).
However, it’s worth noting that the price is not the treatment cost, but it includes the phone itself, GSM Arena noted. Interested buyers will have to deposit 50 percent of the total price for Goldgenie to start working on the handset.
As for as the specifications go, the Huawei P9 features a 5.2-inch IPS-NEO LCD display, packed with 1,080 x 1,920 pixels screen resolution. Under the hood, an octa-core (HiSilicon Kirin 95) processor powers the handset with 3GB or 4GB of RAM backing it depending on 32GB or 64GB of internal storage choice, respectively.
In addition to the built-in storage, Huawei P9 comes with a microSD card slot to facilitate expansion of up to 128GB. This handset sports a dual 12-megapixel camera setup with the famous Leica optics and dual-LED flash in tow. To top it off, Huawei has housed a generous 8-megapixel shooter at the front for selfies and video chats.
Apart from the standard connectivity options, Huawei P9 supports Type-C 1.0 reversible connector. A non-removable Li-Ion 3,000 mAh battery unit helps keep the lights on. Similar to other high-end devices, this one also comes with a fingerprint scanner. However, it is embedded on the back of the smartphone.
Furthermore, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS runs the device out of the box with customization from Huawei’s own Emotion UI 4.1. Also noteworthy is the fact that this device supports dual-SIM cards.
