Hublot Presents The Classic Fusion Fuente Limited Edition

A voracious and eclectic collaborator, Hublot has joined forces with a wide variety of partners in many industries to exemplify the brand’s “Art of Fusion” philosophy. Since 2012, Hublot has worked with the cigar company Arturo Fuente, blending haute horology and a century-plus of experience in fine tobacco for a rich, full experience with notes of Latin expertise and Swiss precision.
Five years and several watch collections later, a new model celebrates this fruitful partnership: the Hublot Classic Fusion Fuente Limited Edition watch, produced in three variations—each one in a 45mm Classic Fusion case.
Engravings cover each limited edition model, each one with special significance for the Arturo Fuente tabacalera. Tobacco leaves on the case frame a bezel carved to recall the designs on earthenware tiles in the colonial houses of Havana, where the Arturo Fuente company began, before the family’s expulsion after the revolution. An “X” motif alludes to an emblem of the Fuente family. The caseback bears an engraving evoking Güines, the Cuban town where the tabacalera had its start, as well as the model’s limited edition series number.
The three models in the limited edition collection share motifs, yet each one bears a distinct color scheme with its accompanying case material. Fifty pieces will be created in Hublot’s proprietary alloy King Gold, with a burgundy dial and matching rubber-lined alligator leather strap. One hundred pieces will be crafted in brushed titanium, whose cool hue is reflected in the dark blue dial and strap, and the third version will have 100 pieces in bronze, with green strap and dial. In keeping with the historical slant on the collection, the models bear a finish that suggests the patina of age on a family heirloom.
The three editions share the same movement: the HUB1112 caliber, which beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph and possesses a 42-hour power reserve. Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot’s CEO, will officially unveil them during Fuente’s Asian tour.
