Huge Deadly Snake Blocks House Door, Terrified Family Calls For Help
A family in Australia had the shock of their lives when they stumbled upon a deadly snake blocking the door of their home.
The photos of the eastern brown snake was shared online by Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7, who were called by the Queensland family to remove the reptile.
The snake was found lying in front of the sliding door at the house in the Sunshine Coast last week. Snake catcher Stu McKenzie told News.com.au that the reptile tried to coil itself into the door frame.
“Imagine walking up to your sliding door to head outside when you stumble across this healthy Eastern Brown Snake,” McKenzie wrote on Facebook. “It was enjoying itself hiding in between the sliding doors. The snake was so thick that it only just fot in there when it was coiled back on itself.”
Stu said wranglers arrived at the scene and successfully caught the massive snake. They then safely relocated the reptile.
Since being posted online, the photos of the snake went viral, with hundreds of users commenting on the unusual place where the reptile was found.
Social media users were horrified and expressed their concerns for the family. Some also praised the catchers for relocating the snake.
“So glad that I live in a frozen part of Canada where there are no poisonous snakes,” one user wrote, another said: “Really glad I live in the UK. I’d be petrified of going outdoors.”
“Burn the house down,” a third user joked, while another woman called the snake a "monster."
In another recent incident, an Australian family was horrified after finding a deadly snake cooling down in their swimming pool. The eastern brown snake -- one of the deadliest reptiles in the world -- had slithered into the home in a suburb of Adelaide and went inside the pool. "This beautiful eastern brown found a nice place to cool down in the heat at Marino today. Too bad it was in the overflow channel of a family pool!" Snake Catchers Adelaide wrote alongside a video of the reptile.
