Huge Python Found Lounging In Home Balcony, Family Terrified
A family in Queensland, Australia, were horrified after they found a huge python lounging on their sun-bed in the balcony of their home. The family took a photo of the snake, which had camouflaged while on the sun-bed.
Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers posted the image to Facebook on Sunday, asking their 80,000 followers if they were able to spot the snake. The users were baffled as it was difficult to spot the reptile.
“Nothing to see … even with my telescope," one frustrated user commented. Another added: “I can never find these snakes!!”
“Still can’t see it. Glad YOU could see it, find it, and catch it. Good job,” one said. A snake catcher pointed out the serpent, a carpet python, resting on the lounge in the sun in a video.
“Imagine going out onto your deck in the morning and sitting down in the warm morning sun only to realize something else is there enjoying the sun's warmth as well," Catcher Stu uploaded the video with the caption. "Carpet Pythons are the most common snake we catch and don't seemed to bothered by humans. They will often hang out in entertaining areas like this and won't move even if people are around. Majority of other snakes will retreat to cover when they see someone nearby."
The video shows Stu picking the snake and holding it up to admire the “beautiful patterns all over him.”
After the video was uploaded, several users were disappointed for not being able to spot the python.
“I must be blind I looked so hard at spot the snake and could not find it …” one user commented.
In April, a family in New South Wales, Australia, was shocked to find a huge python in their home shed just weeks after their pet cat went missing. The homeowner suspected the massive snake ate their Persian blue Russian cat, named Bubbles. A video showed a snake catcher struggling to remove the huge python from the shed.
In another recent incident in Australia, a mother was terrified to find a massive python curled underneath a child's bed at her family's Sunrise Beach home in Sunshine Coast, Queensland. The family immediately called a local snake catcher to remove the reptile from the house.
