“Wolverine 3” is coming soon, and its star Hugh Jackman promises fans it will be a treat.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actor said the film has already wrapped and director Jim Mangold is already working on editing it. Jackman also said that the upcoming film will be different from the first two “Wolverine” films in terms of tone. The actor also said that he’s hopeful that fans will see how they deviated from the two previous films in terms of how they treated the story and theme of the upcoming flick. Aside from the general tone of the film, Jackman also teased that an update will come out soon. He did not, however, specify if the update is the first look at the film.

There have been speculations that the film will feature the Old Man Logan arc. Jackman also teased the arc, although he did say it was just a joke. Still, many fans believe the upcoming film will show an aged Logan especially since Liev Schreiber, who played Sabretooth in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” told Jimmy Fallon that there’s a big possibility that the arc will be explored.

“I don’t know if I’m invited, but what I heard was that the storyline is Old Man Logan,” Schreiber said. “And when I heard that, I thought, ‘Well, you know… there’s Old Man Logan, there could be Old Man Sabretooth.”

While the overarching theme for the film is still uncertain, Jackman’s involvement in it and future films in the franchise has already been set in stone. The actor has already announced that the upcoming untitled “Wolverine” movie will be his last.

Speaking of the decision to leave the character behind, Jackman said he just felt it was time to retire the claws and let someone else play the feisty mutant.

“Wolverine 3” will hit theaters March 3, 2017.
