Hulu has announced a price increase to its Hulu + Live TV package that will go into effect on Dec. 18. The service, which previously cost $44.99 per month, will go up to $54.99.

The Hulu + Live TV package offers live and on-demand TV, including 60 plus live sports, news, and entertainment channels. The streaming service offers more than 85,000 TV episodes and thousands of movies, including Hulu Originals.

According to Hulu, the “new price better reflects the substantial value of Hulu + Live TV and allows us to continue offering all of the popular live news, sports and entertainment programming included in the plan.”

To help “stomach” the price change, Hulu reminded its subscribers that they can switch between plans to “best suit their needs.”

As a suggestion, Hulu said on its blog, “ If you love college football, choose Hulu + Live TV during the season, then switch to one of Hulu’s less expensive on-demand plans when it’s over. If you enjoy most of your TV on demand but really want to watch live election news, just switch to Hulu + Live TV for a few months. ”

Hulu launched Hulu + Live TV in 2017.
