More Animated Shows On Hulu
The addition of new TV episodes comes after Hulu announced last week another agreement with 20th Century Fox. That deal brings animated comedies to Hulu, including “Bob’s Burgers,” “American Dad!,” “Futurama,” and “The Cleveland Show.” “Bob’s Burgers” and all seasons of “The Cleveland Show” are now available on Hulu, while the full library of “Futurama” and previous seasons of “American Dad!” are expected in the coming weeks.
“Since our inception, one of the things that has consistently remained true is that Hulu viewers love animation,” Lisa Holme, Hulu’s Vice President of Content Acquisition, said in a statement. “That’s why we are incredibly proud to offer even more beloved animated comedies through this new deal.”
HBO And Cinemax on Hulu
Besides new TV episodes and animated shows, Hulu announced earlier this month it is offering HBO and Cinemax as an add-on to its plans. The add-on gives users on demand and live TV access to HBO and Cinemax on Hulu for $7.99 per month for the limited commercials plan or $11.99 per month for the subscription with no commercials.
“With this important new partnership, fans can now watch Game of Thrones live every Sunday, binge watch all six seasons of The Sopranos or catch up on Westworld alongside our live TV, sports, classic TV shows and Hulu originals – all without ever having to leave the Hulu app,” Tim Connolly, Senior Vice President, Head of Distribution and Partnerships at Hulu, said in a statement.
Hulu’s new additions places it ahead of other cord-cutting plans, including YouTube TV. The platform currently has a $39.99 live TV plan that includes more than 50 channels, Hulu’s premium streaming service, original series and films and allows users to record 50 hours of live TV with its cloud DVR storage.
