'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' English Actor Sam Claflin Admits He Was Nervous To Play Finnick Odair [PHOTO]
Hunger Games fans can get the first look of heartthrob Finnick Odair, played by English actor, Sam Claflin in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly.
The 27-year-old actor nabbed the role of the handsome district four tribute in “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” after the film’s producers were concerned that they would be unable to properly cast the role.
According to the Daily Mail, however, Claflin embodies the character perfectly.
EW obtained new photos of the film that is in its final days of production, including one of Odair getting extremely close to main character, Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence.

Claflin interviewed with the media magazine and said that he was especially nervous when shooting the infamous “sugar cube scene,” where Finnick chats up Katniss while wearing a revealing pair of net pants.
“It was the scariest moment of my life. I’m on Twitter and so many people have been like ‘Don’t mess this up, or we will kill you,’” he told EW.
The highly anticipated film will be released on Nov. 21 and follows Katniss and her Hunger Games co-victor Peeta Mellark back into the arena along with past winners from each district of Panem.
Jennifer Lawrence also interviewed with EW and told the magazine that as “The Hunger Games” franchise continues, she continues to find it difficult to cope with the attention her notoriety brings.
“I’m so aware of all the b.s. that surrounds Hollywood, and how everyone gets on this high horse and thinks that they’re curing cancer and it makes me so uncomfortable every time I see it,” she told EW
“So I go in the exact opposite direction and end up saying something like "I’m pregnant!" when I’m in two franchises.”
