‘The Hunger Games’ Movie: How to Win Free Tickets to Advance Screenings

The 74th annual Hunger Games will begin on March 23 when The Hunger Games movie opens in theaters across the nation on March 23. Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Banks, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson and more will star in the film adaptation of the first book of the Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins.

According to The New York Daily News, The Hunger Games movie is set to become the next culture phenomenon. On the heels of the Twilight series, The Hunger Games already has fans clamoring for tickets. We saw the biggest first day advance ticket sales in our company's nearly 12-year history - which is especially impressive for a March release and a non-sequel.

The Hunger Games will open to wide release on March 23, but you can win tickets to advance screenings to play on March 21.

As there are less than 24 left until The Hunger Games release, Lionsgate has decided to celebrate the movie's release plus the 24 tributes in the film with a chance to win free advance screening tickets.

Fans can show their support for #HungerGames24 by visiting the official advance screenings Web site and tweeting a unique hashtag assigned to their closest city to unlock Advance Screening locations. Starting tomorrow, March 1, the top four cities with the most Twitter volume will be announced each day and fans will then be able to enter to win tickets to those locations, Lionsgate said in a release.

Thus far, advance screenings have been unlocked in Boston, Philadelphia, Miami and San Diego. If you live near or in one of those cities, click on the Web site link above and enter your name for a chance to win the free tickets at that location. Another way you can win free tickets to The Hunger Games advance screenings is with a purchase of Barnes & Noble's Nook. On March 10, the first customers to purchase any Nook device at select Barnes & Noble stores will win two tickets to the advance screening.
