Have you recently returned from an unforgettable trip abroad?

IBTraveler would love to help you share your story with the world. In the travel section of the International Business Times we showcase two budding travel writers each month as a part of our Recently Returned series of reader-submitted stories.

We seek insightful narratives from a recent trip that evoke the sights, sounds, and smells of a destination. A strong voice and a clear point of view are paramount. We are not interested in top ten lists or journal entries.

If your story is selected for the Recently Returned series, it will be prominently featured on the travel page with a personal byline linking back to any Web sites or blogs you may have. This is a good opportunity for emerging writers to build up clips, get published with a global news organization, and get more visibility on their personal Web sites. It is also a good way for travelers to share their stories with a larger audience.

Please submit your story to m.johanson@IBTimes.com with the words Recently Returned in the subject line. Submissions should not exceed 1500 words - quality is more important than quantity. Due to the volume of submissions, we regret that we cannot respond to each entry. However, if your article is selected, we will notify you before publication to create your byline and discuss any photos you may wish to contribute.

We look forward to reading your stories!
