‘An Ice Wine Christmas’ Lifetime Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis

The It’s A Wonderful Lifetime programming event is officially kicking off for the 2021 holiday season with the premiere of its first new festive film, “An Ice wine Christmas.” The movie, starring Roselyn Sánchez and Lyriq Bent, debuts Friday night.

The stars kicking off this event may be ones that Lifetime fans recognize, but not entirely from projects with the network. Sanchez is certainly well-known to Lifetime fans after her role as Carmen Luna on the network’s “Devious Maids” for four seasons, as well as her stint in the film “Death of a Vegas Showgirl.” Another notable credit was as Elena Delgado on “Without A Trace,” which ran for seven seasons on CBS.

Bent, meanwhile, may be a face some recognize from the film “Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B,” but outside of Lifetime, he is also well-known for a myriad of television show roles, including Jamie on “She’s Gotta Have it.”

So what will happen when these two team up not only for their first project together but also their first Lifetime Christmas movies? According to a synopsis, fans can expect plenty of wine and also some heart-warming Christmas spirit.

“One of Philadelphia’s top wine sommeliers, Camila (Sanchez) goes home to the magical vineyards of Evergreen, NY, to take part in the town’s annual Ice Wine Christmas festival and harvest. While there, Camila spends time with her mother Sunny (Maria del Mar) and sister Beth (AnnaMaria Demara), who manages the local winery for Camila’s former ice win mentor, Henry (Richard Fitzpatrick),” the synopsis reads. “But Camila discovers changes are coming as Henry plans to retire, scaling down the Christmas Festival. Beth also recently hired wine specialist Declan (Bent), who plans to take the operation to full year production. Believing in the importance of preserving the magic of ‘Christmas in a bottle,’ Camila shares with Declan her passion for Christmas and what an authentic ice wine harvest can bring.”

Will the ice wine harvest bring about not only a revived festival but some new romance?

“An Ice Wine Christmas” airs Friday at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
