Iggy Azalea Confirms Nick Young Break-Up After Young’s Alleged Cheating Scandal
Iggy Azalea has announced her split from NBA player Nick Young on social media.
The Australia rapper took to Instagram on Sunday to confirm that she has ended her relationship with fiance Young, Us Weekly reported. Azalea uploaded a snapshot of a lengthy message that indicated that she has parted ways from the Lakers’ star due to trust issues. She wrote, “Unfortunately although I love Nick and have tried and tried to rebuild my trust in him – It’s become apparent in the last few weeks I am unable to.”
Young has been involved in a cheating scandal in March. A leaked video that featured a conversation between himself and Lakers co-team member D’Angelo Russell allegedly confirmed that he cheated on Azalea. However, the rapper still stayed beside Young’s side after the cheating scandal.
She even shared in a previous interview with 92.3 AMP Radio's “Shoboy in the Morning” program that the alleged cheating situation was part and parcel of being a basketball star, as indicated in the same report. Azalea even commented that cheating was something that Young would not do. “I believe my man, and Nick is a super nice guy. This is not the kind of thing he would do,” she stated.
However, it appears that the former engaged couple’s relationship was unable to survive the NBA player’s cheating scandal. Despite Young’s alleged cheating, Azalea still wished her former fiance “the best,” as stated in her Instagram message. “It’s never easy to part ways with the person you planned your entire future with, but futures can be rewritten and as of today mine is a blank page,” she added.
On the other hand, Young also used social media to confirm the split. Azalea’s former boyfriend took to Twitter on Monday to share his new relationship status following the Australia rapper’s Instagram post. He wrote, “Single.”

Meanwhile, Azalea will have a few busy months ahead of her. The Australian musician is slated to join the new season of the reality singing competition “The X Factor Australia,” according to MTV. The “Team” singer will replace judge Dannii Minogue in the show’s upcoming eighth season run.
She also shared her excitement for her upcoming new role in a statement, as stated in the same report. Azalea mentioned that she intends to “help other young Australians achieve their [dreams]” through the reality show. The rapper is the first judge confirmed to join the upcoming “The X Factor Australia” Season 8.
