Despite the sense of security that technology can provide for individuals, it hasn’t been an absolute deterrent when it comes to domestic abuse. Such was the case for a woman whose argument with her husband turned violent.

The argument occurred between couple Allissa Martin and Bradley Stephen Jenkins when they were at a parking garage near Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals.

According to reports, the couple had only been married for a few weeks after a spur decision to go down to Las Vegas and tie the knot. After getting home, the couple went out to a game with friends who worked with them in the Illinois Department of Corrections when Jenkins started arguing with one of the friends.

The argument prompted Martin to take her phone out and start recording Jenkins, yelling at him to stop “punching her face.” Martin eventually dropped the camera to try and break up the fight. The camera kept recording and caught Martin screaming as she fell seven stories to the ground below.

St. Louis Metropolitan Police responded to the scene early Sunday morning and found Jenkins straddling Martin’s body and “covered in blood,” according to reports. Jenkins initially claimed he was not on the roof with Martin, which was proven false after police discovered the video of the argument. Police also reported that Jenkins appeared intoxicated and “agitated.”

Jenkins was arrested by police and is currently being held on a $100,000 cash-only bond. Jenkins could also be facing an additional charge of homicide depending on the results of Martin’s autopsy.
