Increasing Life Expectancy May Be Possible If You Live In This UK Area

Official statistics revealed that in the four southern-most areas of England, life expectancy was at its highest during the period 2016 to 2018. According to data gathered by government agencies, London posted the biggest gains. Males born in the capital have been found to live at an average age of 80.7, which is similar in the South East area. Females born in London, on the other hand, can expect to live at an average of 84.5 years, which is higher compared to any other areas in the UK.
Comparatively, the region in the UK that shows the lowest life expectancy is the North East, where the difference of years for both men and women is at 2.8 years. The data revealed by the Office for National Statistics or ONS also revealed that life expectancy for men residing in London increased by nearly six months in the years 2013 to 2015.
In London, males residing in Westminster were found to live the longest with a life expectancy average of around 83.9 years. This is almost a decade longer compared to those living in Blackpool, which posted the lowest life expectancy.
Women residing in Camden have the best longevity rate in England with an average life expectancy of 87 years as compared to those living in Blackpool with only 79.5. Statistics also showed that the healthiest males in Britain are those who have been born in the London borough of Richmond upon the Thames. Their average lifespan is at 71.2 years without suffering from serious ailments or disabilities.
This is more than 18.6 years compared to those living in Blackpool, where a healthy lifespan at birth is only 53.3 years. For females, the longest healthy life expectancy is those born in Wokingham with an average of 72.2 years without serious illness or disability.
Women in Nottingham have been found to have a healthy life expectancy of only 54.2 years. Men living in Scotland have the lowest lifespan in all of the UK. Men here live an average of 77.1 years, although the percentage of life spent in the best of health is better at 80.3% compared to other countries in the UK.
