Indian Actors Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh’s Wedding: Bollywood A-listers Attend the Ceremony [PHOTOS]

After an eight-year-long courtship, Bollywood actors Genelia D'souza, 24, and Retiesh Deshmukh, 33, finally tied the knot in a traditional Marathi style at a Mumbai five-star hotel Friday. Politicians and B-town's celebrities attended the wedding.

It was certainly Bollywood's one of the most-anticipated weddings of the year. Bollywood actors, including Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar and Shahid Kapoor, John Abraham, Karan Johar, Abhishek Bachchan and Sohail Khan attended the grand ceremony.

The groom donned an off-white designer embellished sherwani, red turban and entered the venue riding a mare. Genelia looked gorgeous in traditional red and gold outfit.

The couple took to Twitter to thank the celebrities soon after the wedding. MR & MRS DESHMUKH, Retiesh tweeted along with a picture of him and his wife.

Today @geneliad n me start our lives together-Thank you so much for showering unconditional love on us, Retiesh wrote.

Other celebrities in attendance were Kajol, Asin, Jaya Bachchan, Amrita Rao and Sophie Choudry.

Tennis player Leander Paes and wife Rhea Pillai, businessman Anil Ambani and several other Indian politicians also attended the wedding.

Riteish is the son of former Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh.

The couple first met in 2003 at the sets of their first movie together, Tujhe Meri Kasam, and has been dating since then.
