Quarterback Andrew Luck can be the first in his rookie class to clinch a playoff spot Sunday as the Indianapolis Colts meet the Houston Texans at Reliant Stadium.

The Colts have completely turned around from last season's woeful 2-14 club, and a win Sunday can guarantee a return to the playoffs. Indianapolis also has a shot at the AFC South title, but will have to beat Houston twice to do so.

The Colts have won seven of their last eight games to be in this position, including last week’s 27-23 comeback win over the Tennessee Titans, led by Vick Ballard’s 94 rushing yards.

The Colt were down 20-3 after giving up two field goals, and a 40-yard interception return by Tennessee’s Will Witherspoon in the second quarter. Luck would lead three scoring drives, and cornerback Cassius Vaughn capitalized on a poor throw by Tennessee’s Jake Locker and returned an interception three yards for a touchdown.

Houston may not give the Colts as many opportunities to comeback, as they recover from a blowout 42-14 loss to the New England Patriots.

It was the second time this season the Texans gave up 40 or more points, and both times resulted in losses. The Houston offense also struggled, reaching the red zone twice, and running back Arian Foster gained just 46 yards on 15 carries.

Quarterback Matt Schaub went 19-for-32 for 232 yards and no touchdowns, for a 68.8 passer rating.

Still Houston can clinch the division with a win Sunday, and should Denver or New England lose, they will sew up a first round bye.

Prediction: The Colts willmeet Houston at the wrong time. The Texans will come out firing after their embarrassing loss last week, and Indianapolis and Luck will struggle throughout. Houston should walk way with a win and the AFC South.
