Indonesia's Mount Lokon erupted twice over the weekend, spewing columns of ash and smoke nearly 2,000 feet into the air. They were part of a series of volcano eruptions that have forced some 5,200 people to evacuate since the eruptions began on Thursday. While volcano eruptions are not a rare event in Indonesia, an archipelago of islands that boasts numerous active volcanoes because they sit atop a chain of major tectonic plates called the Ring of Fire, they remain unique instances of natural beauty.
