'InFamous: Second Son' Vs. 'Titanfall': Recently Launched Game Bumps Respawn Favorite From Number One Spot

Sucker Punch Productions’ “Infamous Second Son” has knocked “Titanfall” from its number one spot in the U.K. The PS4 version of “Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes” took the number two spot on the U.K. sales chart, securing two PS4 games as the top-selling titles in the country. Though the game also launched on the Xbox 360, Xbox One and PS3, the next-gen PS4 was the most popular platform of choice for “Ground Zeroes” consumers, where 58 percent of its sales were on Sony’s device.

The open world action-adventure game launched worldwide on Friday, March 21 for Sony’s PlayStation 4. The third main entry in the “Infamous” series, “Second Son” has received generally positive reviews, receiving a score of 81.44 percent on GameRankings. “'InFamous Second Son’ is visually stunning with rocking dynamic music to boot, but with its repetitive side-tasks, the finely crafted Seattle streets feel a bit lacking in things to do,” GameTrailers said about the title. “Nevertheless, the game's characters and core story arc holds strong. The varied and eccentric powers give you a lot to experiment with, and you truly feel like a superhero with the city at your fingertips.”

Sales of Respawn’s “Titanfall” fell 73 percent during its second week, which is relatively common for a major release.
