Inside Drake's $22 Million 'Yolo Estate' With LA's Biggest Private Pool

Drake is selling his three-home compound, dubbed the “Y.O.L.O. (You Only Live Once) Estate,” in Hidden Hills, California, for a whopping $22.2 million.

Before making it big in the music industry, the Canadian rapper, born Aubrey Drake Graham, found his dream mansion by searching for the "craziest residential swimming pools" on Google and discovering a Hidden Hills home that boasted the largest residential swimming pool in Los Angeles County, according to a 2014 Rolling Stone interview. Drake said he saved the image of the mansion as his background photo and promised himself that he will own the property one day.

In 2012, the Grammy-winning hip-hop star’s dream came true, and he was able to buy the property for $7.7 million – about $20 million below the original price previous owner Larry Pollack had initially listed it for on the market.

Three years later, Drake extended the estate after he purchased a neighboring 1.6-acre property for $2.8 million. In 2018, he extended the property again when he spent $4.5 million to buy yet another neighboring house.

Today, the compound encompasses 6.7 acres of contiguous property at the end of a cul-de-sac.

The primary mansion, the one with the enormous pool, can be purchased for $14.8 million, Fortune reported. The second property, a renovated ranch house, is listed at $2.9 million, while the property he bought in 2018, a modest 1950s ranch house, is being sold for $4.5 million, Dirt.com reported, citing listings held by Rayni Williams and Branden Williams of The Beverly Hills Estates.

The three contiguous properties would cost buyers $22.2 million if purchased together.

The seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom main mansion comes with 12,500 square feet of interior living space and a long list of specialty rooms, amenities and recreational features. The master bedroom alone covers 2,000 square feet as it is connected to a spa and marble soaking tubs.

The house also boasts a wine cellar, a tasting room, six fireplaces and a theater that could seat up to 25, according to TMZ, which noted that the property looks like a luxury resort.

Other amenities include a combined tennis/basketball court, a sand volleyball court, a horse stabling block and riding arena and access to the equestrian-oriented enclaves miles of horse trails.

The enormous swimming pool is built with a swim-up bar, 80-foot long rock waterslide, spa grotto and waterfalls.

The mansion is also surrounded by animal statues that include a 60-foot crocodile next to a mechanical bull, Fortune said.

The neighboring property Drake bought in 2015 has five bedrooms and six bathrooms between the 3,700-square-foot main house, 800-square-foot guesthouse and pool house, according to Dirt.com.

The third property is the smallest, featuring 2,500 square feet of living space, three bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The rapper named the property the “Y.O.L.O. Estate” after his hit song “The Motto.” He put up a sign outside the estate but later got rid of it after it kept getting stolen.

Drake listed the estate after it was reported that he is purchasing another mansion in an off-market deal in Beverly Hills for $50 million – $35 million below the asking price. The home, which measures 25,000 square feet, was previously owned by singer Robbie Williams, the Daily Mail reported.
