Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stayed in a “superhome” villa in their recent family outing.

According to several sources, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex flew to Ibiza for a mini-break to celebrate Markle’s birthday. The Sun shared snaps of the gated Vista Alegre complex where Prince Harry and Markle stayed. The resort boasts a number of exclusive villas that faces the sea.

According to the report, the place where Prince Harry and Markle stayed is known as the “billionaire’s playground.” The area was built to a high specification and has a tight security presence. The source added that “the security staff know what they are doing.”

One of the most exclusive villas in the resort is Sa Calma that costs $146,000 a week. It has been hired by multi-millionaire DJ David Guetta and Sir Paul McCartney. The three-storey building has a 50-meter pool that comes with a house manager, chef and waitress. It has access to a Range Rover Auto-biography with its own driver. One can also arrange for a butler, yoga instructor, and a personal trainer.

Just recently, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also spent a two-week vacation in a luxury villa in the Caribbean island. Prince William and Kate Middleton flew to Mustique with their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The family stayed at Villa Antilles that costs $33,000 a week. The five-bedroom luxury pad includes kids’ room fitted with two bunk beds, a chef, a butler, housekeeper and a private garden.

The place is equipped with luxury decor, stunning sea views, an 18-meter infinity pool and an al-fresco dining area. According to an insider, the villa is fully staffed and the guests can ask for whatever they want, whenever they want. Meanwhile, the royal children reportedly loved the bunk beds and child friendly facilities.

Unlike Prince William and Middleton, Prince Harry and Markle faced another round of criticism following their Ibiza trip. A number of netizens weren’t impressed after learning that the royal couple flew to the island using a private jet. Prince Harry has spoken up about climate change many times and has encouraged everyone to do something that will help the environment, yet his actions show otherwise.

According to Paul Ekins, Professor of Resources and Environmental Policey at UCL, “role models and influencers” like the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, must practice what they preach or they “devalue the cause they profess to support.”
