Rosie O’Donnell just secured a sizable profit from the sale of a property that she purchased just four months ago.
The 60-year-old comedian and television personality officially sold her modern farmhouse in Los Angeles for a whopping $4.9 million, securing her $300,000 profit, TMZ reported Monday.
O’Donnell spent $4.6 million to acquire the luxe estate before the end of 2021. Unnamed sources told the tabloid that she did not buy the place as an investment property.
It was unclear what drove the former “The View” co-host to flip the property so quickly. It can be noted that she bought the farmhouse shortly after selling her longtime home in New Jersey.
What’s also unknown for now is O’Donnell’s plan—whether she’s staying in Los Angeles or moving back to the East, where she lived most of her life. It’s possible that she might also stay in her $8 million triplex penthouse in New York City for good.
Specific details about the sale of the L.A. estate were not publicly disclosed. But the new owners would surely adore the 4,100-square-foot farmhouse with five bedrooms and six bathrooms.
The entire property is nestled on a compact parcel of land in the Beverlywood neighborhood, south of Beverly Hills. The massive size of the house is instantly felt upon entering its open-plan living space, which features honey-hued hardwood floors, tall ceilings, recessed lights and Lutron automated window shades.
Built in 2019, the house with 10-foot ceilings comes equipped with a two-car garage that has a built-in Tesla charger and other modern features.
One of the standout features of the house is the double walk-in closet in the master suite with vaulted ceilings and a gas fireplace.
The kitchen is also another attraction of its own with its Caesarstone island and walk-in pantry. The formal dining room is flanked by a temperature-controlled wine closet, as per Dirt.com.
Aside from the main dining area, the backyard has a built-in barbecue meal area. The grassy grounds are dotted with olive trees, rose bushes and lavender plants.
