The construction of Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen's dream home in Florida has been halted in the past weeks amid tensions in their marriage, according to a report.
Earlier this week, news broke that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback and his supermodel wife have hired divorce lawyers.
Unnamed sources told the New York Post that Hurricane Ian last week put the construction of the pair's Miami Beach megamansion on pause, but with their looming divorce, it is unclear if it will resume anytime soon.
"There is no telling what they will do with what was supposed to be their forever marriage home," one insider told the outlet.
In 2020, it was reported that the pair purchased the property, located on Indian Creek Island in Miami, for $17 million.
After demolishing the house on the land, they reportedly paid an additional $10.12 million to have a new megamansion built, records seen by New York Post showed.
Their home, which would sit on a 1.8-acre property, would comprise three buildings: a two-story main house, a security post and a gym.
Floor plans of the estate obtained by the outlet showed that the main residence would span an enormous 17,000 square feet and include five bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.
The home will feature a movie theater, an elevator, a service landing, a staff entryway, a trash enclosure, a motor court, a pool, a hot tub, an office, a study and a kids' area, according to the floor plans.
The estate is also expected to have a yoga terrace, an organic garden, a meditation garden, a pickleball court, expansive his-and-hers bathroom suites, a main kitchen, a prep kitchen and an outdoor kitchen.
There's also an outdoor dining space, an expansive lawn and a guest suite with a terrace.
The gym would include an exercise terrace, a steam shower, a changing room and a massage room.
Additionally, there would be a pool cabana and other sports courts.
Brady and Bündchen have been living separately for the past couple of months following an epic fight, Page Six reported. Reports of tension between them have been circulating since his decision to un-retire from the NFL.
In February, Brady announced that he is retiring after 22 years in NFL. However, 40 days after the announcement, the winner of seven Super Bowls said he has unfinished business and is coming back.
If the couple will pursue a divorce, aside from their Florida megamansion, the couple will have to divide several assets, including their real estate properties and expensive cars.
The couple has a combined net worth of $650 million.
Bündchen's net worth, built through her modeling career and business ventures, stands at $400 million, while Brady's net worth, which he earned through his football career and endorsements, is estimated to be around $250 million.
Brady is slated to make over $27 million this fall under his new contract with the Buccaneers.
Brady and Bündchen share two children, son Benjamin, 12, and daughter Vivian, 9. Brady is also the father of son Jack, 15, with his ex Bridget Moynahan.
