It may feel like the school year just ended, but it’s time to head back to the classroom. Most colleges started their first day earlier this month after a fun-filled summer and many students may need a bit of inspiration heading back to their school schedules. Many notable dignitaries provided strong words for scholars hitting the books.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama provided support to students and schools during her White House tenure. She spoke at the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Awards in 2016 and commended the power education has to change lives. She gifted the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program awards to thirteen educational programs at a ceremony held in the White House’s East Room.
"You have to stay in school. You have to." Michelle Obama said during the ceremony. "You have to go to college. You have to get your degree. Because that's the one thing people can't take away from you is your education. And it is worth the investment."
