Instagram App For iOS Now Supports Wide Color Capture And Display On iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus
If you own an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, you’ll soon get to see a new version of Instagram.
Instagram co-founder Mike Krueger announced on Twitter that “If you own an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, Instagram now supports wide color capture and display through the app."
Back in September 2016, Ian Spalter, Instagram’s head of design, appeared on-stage at the iPhone 7 launch event to demo the new upgrades coming to Instagram’s app. Spalter showed off a series of new features for the iPhone 7, including wider colors, a unique color filter, one-finger zoom on the iPhone 7 Plus, fast access to Instagram Stories camera with 3D, and the ability to convert Apple Live Photos into Instagram Boomerang GIFs.
Instagram added one-finger zoom to Stories so you can create zoom effects while shooting video or taking a shot. Of course, all of Instagram’s color filters have been redesigned to take advantage of the iPhone 7 camera sensor’s wide color detection.
3D Touch lets you jump right into adding a photo to your Instagram Story. Since Stories are supposed to be raw, getting faster access to your camera will help you taking better shots during spontaneous moments.
