Instagram Influencer 'Carved Out Dying Mom's Heart After Fatally Stabbing Her'

A 21-year-old Moldova woman has been accused of fatally stabbing her own mother and gouging out her heart while she was still alive.

Anna Leikovic, a medical student and an aspiring Instagram influencer, has been accused of murdering her mother Praskovya Leikovic, 40.

Anna allegedly used a kitchen knife to stab Praskovya and carved out her organs while she was dying. She then calmly washed herself off in the shower before meeting her boyfriend, reported news outlet 7News.com.au. After leaving Praskovya's body at her apartment, she met her boyfriend as if nothing had happened.

According to police, the tragic incident happened when Anna entered into an argument with her mother who confronted her regarding her drug addiction, reported local news outlet Komsomolskaya Pravda.

The local news outlet reported that Anna’s mother, who recently returned from Germany, had arranged to take her daughter to a rehabilitation center for fixing her drug problem. Anna resisted this move and the argument triggered the attack and gruesome murder.

The suspect’s uncle described them as a “very good family.” “Praskovya loved her daughter so much and she spent as much time with her as she could. It took two hours for the police to tell me Anna is the main suspect. I could not even imagine this,” he told the news outlet.

Police spokeswoman Lyubov Yanak said that they were not seeking any other suspects in the crime. The police were conducting a thorough investigation for clarifying the real motive behind the crime.

Anna was presented before the court this week and she was seen lying down on the dock, cleaning her nails, according to an official video recording. When the judge entered the courtroom, she stood up on a bench. When a reporter asked her if she was responsible for her mother’s death, she said, “Goodbye.”

Anna was an aspiring Instagram influencer and model with more than 10,000 followers.
