Intermap gets Garmin deal for 3D mapping technology
Intermap Technologies Corp, a Canadian 3D digital mapping technology firm, said U.S. navigation device maker Garmin Ltd signed a three-year agreement for Intermap's NEXTMap technology.
Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Intermap said it will provide 3D elevation data for the United States and Western Europe derived from its NEXTMap countrywide digital map database to Garmin.
Garmin products using NEXTMap data are expected to hit the market in the first half of 2010, Intermap said in a statement.
Shares of Calgary, Alberta-based company closed at C$1.61 Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
