International Coffee Day is observed annually on Oct. 1. On this day, coffee lovers can share their love of the beverage and support the millions of farmers whose livelihoods depend on the aromatic crop.

First initiated in Japan, it was officially declared International Coffee Day in 2015.

This day is celebrated by all the 77 member states of the International Coffee Organization and dozens of coffee associations from around the world, according to its official website. Whether you celebrate this day or not, you can share these famous quotes with others, courtesy Good Reads and the Quote Garden.
