International MBA from ECUST
The School of Business of the East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) offers International MBA (IMBA) to its students. Founded in 1990 within the University, the School of Business is the fastest and largest growing school, out of the 15 academic schools, at ECUST.
The School of Business has about 125 well-qualified faculty members, of which over half of them are professors and associate professors. Recognized by the State Education Ministry of China, the School provides excellent international study environment to its students.
The program, taught in English, has four major subjects:
1. General management
2. Marketing Management
3. International Business
4. Chinese Business and Management
The international students exchange programs, which the School has tied up various partner universities, make this IMBA program quite attractive. The students can apply for these programs in the second year.
The whole IMBA program is of 45 credits; imparting soft skills training on, for example, listening and speaking, is a important feature. Classes on Mandarin, Chinese grammar, and Chinese cultures add value to the program. The students will plenty of opportunities to interact with eminent personalities from corporates, government, academia, etc.
The IMBA program has two study models: (1) the full-time model (2-year duration) and (2) the part-time model (2.5-year duration).
To get into this IMBA program, you need to fulfill the following requirements:
1. Two-year full-time working experience or 2-year internship or part-time jobs;
2. IELTS 6.5 or TOFEL 80 (Internet-based) or GMAT (preferred);
3. GPA 3.0 above; and
4. Bachelor's degree/diploma (English version) issued by accredited educational institution. No business major required if having working experiences.
